I am quite happy to hear about the Kinder Morgan pipeline expansion being quashed. It is the first visceral and validating reminder, in the years since the Northern Gateway cancellation, that holding true to a set of a beliefs in spite of substantial threatening behaviour, can actually change things. Even if you think the pipeline was a good a good idea, the spirit of what I'm saying should feel authentic and committed to some kind of common value. If even that cannot be entertained - the core belief in the honesty of Canadian law - then let the world know that Canada is a lawless place. Piss on a bastion of civility in a frantic global abyss of crappy government, corporate malfeasance, and turbcharged philosophical retardation. Socrates would feel good today.
