5 tips for your upcoming job interview

As a career coach, I have seen people coming over for a job interview.
Since there are a lot of applicants, not only the hard skills count, but there is more focus on personality. Therefore, I hope my tips could help future applicants, maybe you, in future interviews.

Be proactive, take the lead in the interview. Do not wait for questions to be asked by the interviewer, but rather be the one to be talking. Recruiters have seen many applicants throughout days and they are mostly asking standard questions. By taking the lead and being proactive, you are being outstanding and might leave a better impression.
Keep an open posture during the interview. Your posture is very important, since it reflects your attitude. Keep your arms above the table and use your hands to express yourself in a better way.
Show enthusiasm. As mentioned earlier, personality is becoming a more important trait to take into account. You need to show your enthusiasm as why you really want the job. The interviewer really wants to see the sparkles in your eye.
Ask questions. By asking questions about the job, organization, culture etc., you show curiosity about the company. Which helps you to convince the interviewer that you really want to get that job. An example question could be like: "How does a day of your co-worker looks like?".
Come prepared. Coming unprepared makes the interviewer think you are not taking this seriously and will leave a negative impression. You should read about the contents of the vacancy and organization. Also think about why you want to work in that particular organization and why you will be a valuable asset to that company.

Please keep in mind that these tips are based on my experience and these the most important ones nowadays in my opinion. I hope my tips help people further with their future careers!
