Everything that has an advantage also has it's own disadvantages. Before now we all believe that going out of the house to work is the only means one can earn.
Welcome to this era where with the right tools and information you can work from the comfort of your home and earn a living.
I always admire women who work in the cooperate world because I feel it makes them so responsible and respectable.
Having tried both I would want to talk about the advantages and disadvantages before I state my choice.
Working from home as a freelancer
Advantages:
Flexibility: it's easier for you to set a schedule on how you would want to work, when to start and end.but if you are not deciplined you might not be consistent
Independence: I have been an entrepreneur for a while now and I can tell you I am my own boss, I have control over my projects and clients.
Cost-effective: You can save money on commuting and office expenses.
Disadvantages:
Inconsistent income: you are not sure of your next income, my earnings fluctuate depending on the number of clients I attend to. Sometimes I don't even have a patronage for a long time.😔
Isolation: Working alone can be lonely and isolating.you just become static and boring.
Lack of structure: It can be difficult to stay motivated and focused without a set routine.
Working outside the home with a stable monthly pay:
Advantages:
Stable income: You have a guaranteed income and benefits.
Structure: your time is scheduled and your work environment .
Social interaction: You can connect with colleagues and build relationships.it also an avenue to broaden your knowledge.
Disadvantages:
Limited flexibility: sometimes you might not not have control over your work hours and your client
Transport: You may need to spend time and money commuting to and from work.you meet traffic and when you get home you be so exhausted.
Having state some obvious facts about the both, I would prefer being a freelancer because i would have time for myself, family and manage my time as well.
Ultimately, the best choice for you depends on your individual preferences, lifestyle, and career goals. If you value flexibility and independence, freelancing may be a good option. If you prefer a stable income and a structured work environment, a traditional job may be a better fit.
