Find something to do that has an amazing process

I mentioned in the article I published before this one that one of the main reasons I love writing is because the process is fairly easy and it doesn't require me to use multiple tools to do my thing.

For example, most of the time if you want to create something in Photoshop you'll have to get out of the software at least once and use your browser for something. It may be to search for a new font, to find some inspiration or just certain colors. It doesn't matter what it is, you will need to use your browser.

That really bothers me, mainly because I lose my focus really fast once I stop doing something. If I start writing an article and someone tells me something, even for a few seconds, I lose my entire focus and I need to either delete what I was writing or make an effort to remember my idea. That's the main reason I like to work in complete silence.

And that's why I don't really enjoy working in Photoshop. Sure, I love when I manage to create something, I enjoy seeing the result, but the process, for me, is tedious and annoying.

I think a lot of people have the same problem when it comes to things they need to do, and that may be the main reason they are not as productive as they could be - they can't enjoy the process.

If you're working on an animation and you hate animating, it's hard to create an amazing product if you can't focus for more than 10 minutes every time you sit down to actually work.

Same thing with whatever you want to do. If you really like writing amazing articles but you hate the writing process, then it's gonna be hard to do that every day or every week for a long time in order to publish again and again.

I personally love the process. It's simple, it's easy and because I can type around 90-100 words per minute, I feel pretty cool when writing.

So, one thing you can do to be more productive, is to either find something to work on where you really enjoy the process, or to change the process you have right now and make it a lot more enjoyable.

This can boost your productivity by a lot and it can help you have a lot of fun when working.

I definitely agree with this. I really liked my new job after university, but after some time it became a bit boring for me. I even thought that I might need to quit it soon. But then I decided to make my workflow a bit smoother.I have tried to customize my working environment to better fit my needs. I have customized my browser, added some plugins etc. After this my work became much better. Now I feel much better and even look forward to go to work again :-)

Glad to see other people trying to improve their workflow and work process in order to enjoy what they do more. If more people would stat doing that, work would be less hated by everyone and more people will enjoy what they do a lot more.
