Finally. I did it. I managed to write and post an article every single day since April, despite having a very demanding job and very little free time at my disposal.
What did I learn from this challenge?
First, you can do quite a lot of things if you learn your limits, the things you are good at, and if you're willing to make a compromise. In my case, I had to accept that I would not be able to write anything too long or too complicated in the little time I had at my disposal, so I kept writing and posting short things.
Second, quantity matters, just as much as quality. Years ago I kept talking about how quality is the most important thing. But quality is equally important. The more you create, and the more you share, the higher the chances of being discovered.
Lastly, sometimes pure discipline is all it takes to do something. No time management, no motivational speeches, no shady techniques meant to increase productivity. Just pure and simple discipline. If something must be done, you do it, and that's it.
Maybe there's more, but right now, I can't really think of anything else. I just want to take a break and relax. Writing daily for so long has been difficult, but rewarding. I both do and don't recommend it.
If you wish to do something like this, know that it can be done, quite easily at times. Sometimes it's worth it. Sometimes it's not. To know for sure, you must take a risk, like with anything that requires time and effort.
What's next?
Nothing, to be honest. I'll take a break for a while, and return once I've had enough. I might post here again, or try other platforms for a bit. I'll give some communities a try here for sure and see how that goes. But for now, I need some rest.
See you again once I have rested enough and I feel ready to begin work.
