RE: Working online – Income and Business Report Q3 2019

Brilliant and illuminating for anyone interested in basing their career online.

What I'm interested to know is about your time management, how much time you devote to each facet and how you remain undisturbed as you work!

Are you able to put in a solid, distractionless 6 hours or are you able to remain productive even if your working time is fragmented?

Thanks :-)

I do a solid 4 hours in the mornings when the kids are at school, have a bit of lunch and do the school runs. then I do a bit in the nights when they are gone to bed. That works because I reach many time zone.

Course production takes up a lot of time, but I also recycle some of the content to blog posts and other social avenues. I try to be as efficient as possible with content.

I spend about 20% of my time researching. This could be on content, seo, competitors, ways to do things better. about 15% on admin, which would be paper work, accounts, website updates & emails. About 40% of my time is spent on content creation, including course production and editing and the rest is marketing/social reach stuff. heheheh there is a lot involved when you are working online

Thanks for the insight. You need to really be disciplined not to simply fanny around watching funny videos and keep focused as an online worker.

Thanks again, I enjoyed the read :-)

Or worse, shiny new object syndrome. I wrote about it before. It's a real problem for online workers
