Becoming more healthy, and Losing Weight My Journey/Plans.

in #workout7 years ago (edited)

So not long ago I decided to get healthier by, excercising, and altering my diet.

The first thing I did was order a Home Gym. I chose this one

You can purchase one yourself here https://www.walmart.com/ip/Fuel-Pureformance-Home-Gym-with-125-lb-Weight-Stack-Assorted-Styles/55732124

A machine like this only takes up a little space, and offers ALOT of different muscle group workouts, in 1 machine.

You can work your Arms, Legs, Back, Shoulders, and more with just this 1 machine.

The hardest thing to figure out when you begin into a Journey like this is what kind of workout schedule do you need, there is alot of info online but I never could find anything that really fits only a Home Gym like this and nothing else.

I decided to just come up with my own workout schedule I adhere too.

It goes like this ARMS/SHOULDERS day, LEG/BACK day, Rest day, ARMS/SHOULDERS DAY, LEG/BACK day, Rest day, Alternating Weight Day, Arms/and Legs.

So I do 5 sets, and 10 Reps or each Exercise.

But I decided Strength Training was not enough on its own, I needed to do some Cardio type stuff also.

I do 3 sets of 10 - Jumping Jacks, Stair Climber, Burpee's, Lunges

Its also a good idea to go for a nice walk, or run if you can.

I like to do Cardio before strength training, and then cool down with a walk.

I have noticed a huge difference in the way I feel, since I started doing this.

Also I have changed my eating habits, NO POP/SODA!!! NONE !!!

I try to eat alot of Protein, and I try to eat as little Carbs as possible.

Reduce your intake of sugars, but also watch out about sugar substitutes such Aspartame, they are NOT good for you.

I would love to hear others Journeys, Idea's, etc... Thank You.

Keep it up. Liked you plan and thanks for sharing. I am working on something similar. Planning to post soon with some pics.

Hi, I think that you could dot the full body workouts for the beginning, because you would train everybodypart more often and the progression of strenght would also be more balanced. I would also recoment you to do cardio after the strenght training, because your muscles would be active and your body would be warmed up and it helps in burning fat. The last thing that i can recomend you is eating more compound sugars as the carbs, because it will give you energy without the feeling of being full. :)
