The intentional targeting of the civilian infrastructure of Libya was an outrageous war crime, completely in breach of protocol II of the Geneva conventions (not that this matters to the US, which has never ratified the protocol). What possible justification could they offer for destroying infrastructure like the artificial rivers project.
Perhaps this was a warning to any other Africa upstart that a similar future would await it if if followed the Libyan path, nationalising assets and taking care of it's citizens (both Arab and African equally), instead of the profits of the Global elite.
