Hello steemians Its Jamespower, today i will be talking about the world poverty, world hunger and how it can be eradicated from our society through the help of steemit community.
FIRST I WILL BE TALKING ON THE ASPECT OF WORLD HUNGER:
According to the (Oxford dictionary 1971) Hunger can be define as the concept of an uneasy or painful sensation caused by want of food: craving appetite,
also the exhausted condition caused by want of food. And also defined as the want or scarcity of food in a country or a strong desire or craving.
Although, according to research, the number of malnutrition in the world has dropped by (over 20% since1992).Today there are 815 million people who do not have enough to eat.
It is said to be more than 795 million in 2014.In the case of this =
APPROXIMATELY 95% OF THE WORLD'S MALNUTRITION PEOPLE LIVE IN THE STILL DEVELOPING COUNTRIES WHERE HUNGER IS THE WORST, WHICH ARE NAMED BELOW:
*Asia approximately-519.6 million
*Sub-Saharan Africa approximately-
*Latina America and the caribbean - 42.5 million.
can you imagine what its like to not have food to eat and go to bed hungry at night?
Its been revealed that, the major cities were hunger is rapid and the steemit community can make a change, includes:
Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Benin, Burkina Faso, India, Ghana, Malawi, Mexico, Mozambique, Peru, Senegaland Uganda. Globally, approximately 155 million children less than five years still suffers from from stunting, Not every poor person is hungry, but almost all hungry people are poor.Millions live with hunger and malnourishment because they simply cannot afford to buy enough and good food.
According to my reaserch (The hunger project firmly believes that empowering women is the main key to success of eradicating Hunger from this cities). And there is no doubt about that fact.
MY SECOND PHASE WILL BE ON POVERTY.
On my reaserch on poverty. I found out that poverty is the producer of 95% rapid hunger
in the world today. Statistic poverty in the world by World BANK:
http://www.worldbank.org/content/dam/Worldbank/document/State_of_the_poor_paper_April17.pdf
Poverty is still a big problem in the world today, as you can see from the numbers. This is in spite of the progress that you see around you. The good news is that in 2010, only 18% of the world's population was living way below the poverty line as compared to 36% in 1990. It's a small victory, the progress is not enough. No one like being poor. But unfurtunately you are born to it and your cirumstances gives you fewer options. You spend your days trying your best to survive, with no energy left to think about being creative and being concerned about the things that you and i think about daily.
QUICK FACTS ON GLOBAL POVERTY
*According Unicef, around 22,000 children die each day due to poverty. Hunger, lack of sanitation (lack of enviromental cleaness ) and access to clean water and lack of resources for proper healthcare are the main reasons.
*Back in 2011, 165 million children were stunted due to malnutrition.
*Around 1 billion people welcomed the 21st century not knowing how to read and write.
*infectious diseases continue to cause the deaths of the poor around the world.
*Diarrhea cause the death of 1.8 million children each year.
*Around 1.1 billion people in developing countries dont have access to water and 2.6 billion live in poor conditions lacking basic sanitation.
*1.6 billion live without electricity.
*Sub-saharan Africa accounts for 1/3 of the world's poorest people, another 1/3 comes from indida and then China, contributing 13% to the global poverty statistics.
SOLUTIONS I PROPOSED TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF PROVERTY AROUND THE WORLD.
1.Bring education to the extremely poor to enable them to have better jobs.
2.Use the budget allocated for War and Weapons to stop Global Hunger.
3.Governments should invest in programs and projects that will be beneficial to improving the livesof the poor-to open opportunities for them to lift themselves out of poverty.
4.create a renewable energy for the poor.
Did you know? half the world lives on less than $2.50 a day. And more than 900 million people cannot read or write.
It is recorded each day that passes at least 1-2 child world dies of hunger and starvation. What can the steemit community do to make a change to this horro days?.
I believe that with help of steemit community the world can become a better place, that is why am going to be setting up a campaign few months from now to help the poor not only with money but with anything i can do to make a change.
