Tuesday was supposed to be another glamorous and eventful day for Nigeria when they faced Argentina. The enthusiasm of the Nigerian team was on the rise just before the battle with the Argentines, this was a result of the previous win against Iceland.

The match started with a lot of euphoria from the super eagles and they were really determined to get a win from this last match as this would see them through the group stage of the competition. The opening goal was from Argentina in the early minutes of the match, a goal which came from Messi. But, with this goal the players didn't relent in their efforts and they held the Argentines on a 1 nil through out the first half of the game.

Some minutes into the second half, a penalty kick was given to Nigeria and this was taken by Victor Moses. It was a goal for Nigeria, it was really a comeback for the super eagles as the excitement was brought back. Just when the match was about to end, Rojo sealed the winning goal for Argentina and alas, they found their way to the Rounds of 16.

Well, the whole Nigerian team really showed commitment and put passion into the game.

Sort:

I have never cry for a football team due to it's losing in my entire life, but I cried on Tuesday,I can't eat nor drink, even my girlfriend was busy petting me.
The reason why I cried was those player played but it didn't yield them a positive result, until another for years after this, that will be the time we will be participating again,I feel sorry for all Nigerians,I even heard someone died while watching the match,it is painful, but I pray we come back stronger

Yea! we did our best in the game but luck was not on our side and the referee was a psycho man.

We did our best really.
