Who will join France for the World Cup Final?
Steemit Charity World Cup contest
Thanks again to all that contributed to this World Cup Contest - the name of all Steemians that contributed to the prize pot can be found in this post again.Hi lovely Charity and World Cup friends - following the victory of France yesterday we have @rondras as one of the top three winners in our . Today it will be decided if England or Croatia will compete against France in the finals and also whether @infobunny or @twinner will qualify for one of the three prizes.
Team England and @infobunny
Who is this England owner? Well - the guy behind @infobunny is from England, living in London if he did not move and was lucky to overbid @uwelang in this contest. Probably not all know him - I personally do - he is probably one of three Steemians I know for the longest time since around 5 years I would say. He is an online guru and maintains a blog where he writes a lot about SEO and Social Media Platforms. I am glad he finally became active here on our Blockchain community - he could do more though! Good luck Dexter. England has a young, motivated and talented team.
Team Croatia and the Angel of the German community @twinner
The Croatia Team head is well-known here on Steemit, active since the early days and one of the biggest supporter of the German (DACH) community. One can not appreciate enough what he is doing to help newbies with delegations, tips and tricks since he started on Steemit. @twinner also was one of the most intelligent bidders during the contest. Croatia did play very convincing over the course of the tournament and if they are not too tired are well-positioned to reach the final round for the first time ever.
"popular" play-off for third place.BTW - if anyone on Steemit wants to donate any more money to the pot we will not say no as well! Please check the Final Four Teams and let me know your predictions - who will make it to the Semi Finals? The team owner losing tonight will still have the option to end up on position three in this contest like @shaka too which will be decided on Saturday in the

This was a good community effort raising a good amount where 50% goes to charities active on the Steem Blockchain. All bidders paid - so here the final allocation.
First Place (World Champion): 30% of the pot (157.33 SBD - rounded )
Second Place: 15% of the pot (78.66 SBD - rounded)
Third Place: 5% of the pot (26.22 SBD - rounded)
The other 50% of the total basket wich means 262.226 SBD will be paid to Charity.
The charities we support are @papilloncharity from South Africa and @steemarity from Austria. Also the winning Steemians can feel free to donate their amount to a charity – but that is not a requirement. For now tis means each charity will receive 131.113 SBD

Come on England!
Don't worry. Croatian players seem tired, so I think England will win this one! But ... let's wait and see!
I think Croatia was a bit too clever in the end?
It seemed like English players thought 1:0 lead will be enough and they stopped playing! But it was exciting all the way to the end. It turned out that international experience of players who play in top clubs all over Europe (in Real Madrid, Juventus, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Monaco etc.) had some importance in this game, too.
go @twinner!!!!
Go Croatia :D
why Croatia and not France?
Croatia plays football with more passion than france, also has very talented players like modric and mandzukic who can make a difference and have players who move very well around the edges of the court.
