Hi guys! Long time no see ;)
Oh man, what a roller coaster these past weeks. I guess most of you saw that @pinmapple quit and handed over the project to our spontaneous @worldmappin. Since then we have been pretty occupied with transferring everything and going on with the project.
So today I packed my back and traveled to the north of Germany to meet @detlev, @louis88, @rivalzzz, and some of the other heroes, who were so brave to save this project and go on along with me.
After 6 hrs train ride, @louis88 and @rivalzzz picked me up at Aachen Central Station. From there we went to check out tomorrow's location - the Digital Church at DigitalHub to get a first feeling of the Meetup.
At 16:30 together with @detlev we went to the first meetup point: The border triangle. WeΒ΄ve put up the Hive banner and searched for a table.
Of course this was the perfect spot to have some beers together :). Also @blkchn joined in with us.
The borders of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands meet at the border triangle. So basically you can jump from one country into another within seconds. - Or be in all of them at the same time :D
At the same time, the tri-border point is the highest mountain on the Dutch mainland at 323 meters above sea level. Of course, as Bavarian girl, I had to climb that mountain :D
From there we went further to a second restaurant with a view towards Germany and had a first little get-together with chat, snacks and beers :)
It feels great to be back together with "the gang". I am looking forward to seeing all the others tomorrow and discussing the current status and next steps of @worldmappin within the community!
But more about the status of @worldmappin project and what happened since the takeover tomorrow at Hive Meetup Aachen. - Stay tuned ;)

Well well, so you were trying already, you returned to blogging three months before the HiveFest for the project, good to know that gave you a rush to write about that meetup, I was looking forward to go there, but it wasn't easy to organize those days for me.
βI keep you updated.β You said at the end. A promise from you that I understand must be kept, no false hoping in you. Come on you are a great blogger and you have a loyal audience, you just need someone who is annoying enough to remind you of it hahaha so here you got me, asking for more. π¬π¬π¬
Haha seems like finally you are starting to stalk me back @ninaeatshereπ . I did indeed try several times before, but it was impossible. I did give my word and I did keep everyone updated via worldmappin account. Back then I was writing all the posts still - no Nina to help me with that. Also important to know that I went to Aachen just before our travels to Bali and I stayed 1 day longer than planned because Germany was playing against Denmark and I wanted to watch it with Detlev, Simon and Eric. I had planned to write a beersaturday about it and I did plan to write more about my visit... but I was not allowed to bring my laptop to Bali - or do anything else than traveling there... so after 4 weeks, I figured nobody cares about it anymore π - and the most important I wrote already via worlmappin only a few hours before my flight (hiding from my wife π).
Good thing though that I have you now kicking my ass with my private blog, being annoying to be a good role model and putting the best out of me... and of course also helping out on the project side as well - so I have more time for that βοΈβ€οΈ thanks girl ππ
Pretty tight itinerary during those weeks I see. Hahaha posting hidden, I hope it was just for vacation and now it's not a cause for discord.

I do think it would be interesting to see that post about the Beersaturday over there and how you got to see the game with them. That's all I'm saying haha.
