EMPOWER YOUR BRAIN NOT TO GET DRAINED
When Warren Buffett was asked about the key to success, he pointed to a stack of nearby books and said, "Read 500 pages of this every day. That's how knowledge works. It builds up like compound interest. All of you can do it; but I guarantee not many of you will do it". Those were the words of Warren Buffet when asked on the keys of success. Most of world successful men and women are those who have invested heavily in empowering themselves thereby having power to conquer the world. Some of these Individuals I'll still talk on in the course of this writeup.
If you are empty inside, you will definitely be empty outside. If you are poor inward, there is no any magic that can prevent you from being poor outside. Flowing from the above it is important for us to invest heavily in our brains because this is the organ inside the head that controls our thoughts, movements, memory and feelings. If our brain is empty, we'll definitely get drained(become weak and poor).
Most young people of nowadays are willing to become rich but are not ready to do what most rich men and women do to become rich. For us to be rich outside, we need to be rich inside. What will make us rich inside, is what we have inside of us. It is when we are loaded inside, that we can become needed outside.
Readers, they say are leaders. Leaders are always ahead of others while others follow. What make them to be ahead of others is because they know what others don't know. What they know is not by magic but by conscientious effort in reading.
It is very important to dedicate time to go into private research because it is the research you did privately that will make others search for you publicly. If you want others to look for you, you need to stay away from others in private reading.
For you to become the best in whatever you do, you need to give your best time in reading about what you are doing. What will make you different from others in your fields is what you know that they don't know. What will make you know is reading.
Why most people are so poor is because they don't have anything in their brain. Brain is the organ in the head that controls thought, feeling, movement and memory. Once you are poor in your thought, you've lost it all because it is our thought that determines our decision, our decision determines our action and it is our action that determines our destination. It is therefore very important to empower the brain so that it can deliver quality thought that will shape our decision which will in turn shape our action and destination.
Why most young people of nowadays blame government for their situation is because they've not been able to look at the right direction. The books we read will make us look at the direction others are not looking thereby seeing the opportunities missed by all. When Elon Musk was asked how he learnt how to build rockets, he said, "I read books"
Most people are always sought after because of what are loaded with and have to offer. Those in darkness(who can't read) run to them because of the light they have. The truth is that 'it is the light that these people have made use of privately(night candle) that have made them to become a light that is now shinning publicly
If those that are rich make reading their habits, I see no reason why those of us that are yet to become somebody should not read. Oprah Winfrey, a veteran talk-show host still reads till date and even in 1996 started the 'Oprah's Book Club to encourage her viewers reading habit. In 2004 during her acceptance speech of UN Humanitarian Awards, she described books as 'her personal path to freedom' and also what gives her the power to possibilies beyond what was allowed at the moment.'
Some people are paid heavily just to talk because of how loaded they are. They believe that if they talk, others will have something to learn. They didn't get to this level by sudden flight but by consistent reading. Examples of this individuals include: Fela Durotoye, Tony Blair, Barack Obama, Neil Armstrong to mention a few.
We should not mistaken formal education with learning. There are many examples of successful people dropping out of school or foregoing formal education, but it is clear that they never stop learning. Some people are too dull that all they know is what they were taught in school or being taught in school. You can't be taught how to become or a successful business man in school but, in your private reading you'll definitely find that. Donald Trump made his fortune in lucrative real estate developments, but he wouldn't have done it without 'The Power of Positive Thinking' by Vincent Peale. Peale advises reader to stand up to an obstacle...and it will finally break. Bill Gates dropped out from the university but didn't drop out from reading. He wouldn't have achieved the great feat he achieved without reading 'Tap Dancing to Work' a collection of articles and essays about and by Buffet compiled by Carol Lewis. This book and a whole of others been read by Gates helped him to become a successful inventor and business man. When Dr Tunji Abayomi was to defend General Obasanjo, he read 110 cases and he ended up winning the case against Gani Fawehinmi and Femi Falana. For you to become great, you need to read about those great men who have made it before you to know their secret and how they were able to make it as we just read about Trump and Gates.
You must be loaded to be needed because people are not far from where values are being delivered. If you can meet the need of others, through what you have inside of you(in your brain), others will reward you with what you don't have outside you. As a young guy or lady, your investment should be in books rather than clothes, wristwatches, shoes etc. Build library instead of building mortuary. Don't be rich outside at the expense of your inside. What you have inside of you are capable of getting you what you need if used effectively. When Bishop David Oyedepo travelled to the US, he bought books worth $ 9,000 US Dollars. The wife was surprised at that and ask him if that was all he brought from the US? Oyedepo replied 'that's all' and went on to tell the wife that 'the contents of those books if read and understood by him are capable of creating things his wife thought he didn't buy.' *Don't just read to be entertained, read to be educated and you'll see yourself being elevated
