Just like that, I'm back over 1,000 impressions on X in one week.
As you can see, my impressions jumped 45 percent to 1.4 thousand. Of course, the Engagement Rate is down by 38 percent, par for the course. Have I reached X normalcy again?
Other metrics that went up this week include:
- Profile visits increased 100 percent to 12
- Replies bumped 450 percent to 11 (Wow! What a jump!)
Metrics that declined include:
- Engagement Rate to 6.2 percent (still not bad)
- New Followers fell 26 percent to 14 (still not a bad pick up)
- Likes dropped 40 percent to 26
- Reposts shimmied 56 percent to 7
- Video Views slid 50 percent to 2
- Media Views sloughed 78 percent to 2
Overall, I'm pleased with these metrics.
Impressions and Engagements
As you can see from the graph below, impressions peaked on Wednesday, October 23 with 480. After that, there is a slight decline then a sudden drop off followed by another gradual decline.
This pattern has been going on for a few weeks since I started posting updates on my book sales at Kroger stores. I sell books in Kroger from Thursday through Saturday. Each day, throughout the day, I post a book sale that I've made on X. I also, from time to time, post little snippets of conversations I have with Kroger customers about books. Sunday through Tuesday, when I'm not at a Kroger store selling books, my posting frequency goes down, and that's why you see drop-offs in impressions.
Here's an example of a book sales update:
Typically, Engagements follow the same trajectory, or similar, to that of Impressions. This past week, however, they peaked on October 23, fell off sharply for a couple of days, and shot up again on Sunday, October 27 to achieve the second-highest engagement rate of the week.
New follows peaked on October 27, as well.
People replying to my posts were active all week, up and down, but the peaks occurred with equal results on October 23 and October 27.
You can see that I was most active with my posts on October 23 and Thursday, October 24 with a tapering off toward the end of the week.
The top post was actually a comment on someone else's post. It received 451 impressions.
Moral of the story: I need to do more commenting. But not just any commenting. I need to comment more on high-profile accounts with a lot of followers. Preferably accounts that post content related to mine, such as books, writing, and crypto.
Well, that's it for this week, folks. See you at the end of the rainbow.
