Quite A Storm...

The night before last night I had got into bed and was listening to something on YouTube and about 30 minutes later the power went out... I started hearing loud noises outside in the yard to such a regular extent that I started to think maybe there was a person out there or some wild animal or even an alien, lol.

I literally started to get a little freaked out imaging that some murderer or alien face was going to look through the window at me and then I heard another loud noise upstairs on the porch and I started to think it must be raccoons! And then I stopped worrying about it and I fell asleep.

I woke up to see this huge branch on the biggest tree in our yard had broken, it almost landed on our shed! That woulda sucked... And there were numerous other broken branches in our yard plus when I went on my walk saw a lot more broken branches and even some damage to some people's homes as well...

I counted about 5 or 6 inches of snow, a friend on Facebook claimed they got 12 inches up there in town, I couldn't find any exact numbers online... But, that is pretty good for Sedona!

I went out in the morning and tried to film with the drone, but it kept fogging up to the point I gave up on that, was going to take the 35mm out but then my father called and needed me to help with something and then I got busy and worked for hours and then went out again closer to sunset and tried the drone again and no fogging this time!

The sun didn't come out where I wanted it to and I didn't get anything "super amazing", but I did get some nice shots and will share them in the future at some point. :)

PS... I was able to fly my drone again and it seems to be working just fine now despite the GPS error message.
I don't want to fly it too high or do anything too crazy though, I'm just going to take it easy until the new controller shows up and then use this one as a backup.

We saw some of the same stuff here, Its something to see snow in the desert.

That's awesome you did as well! We don't get that much snow here very often and yeah I agree it's quite a beautiful and thought provoking sight to see snow in the desert.
