I am aromantic, so my relationship/marriage is clearly with a friend. I never asked him once if he loves me and I never even told him that I love him. It would be really weird, because I never considered him a separate being or even not a part of myself, but myself. There is really no 'we' , there is only 'Me'. I know it sounds like something 'supernatural' but whoever saw us doing some work together he saw that 'Me' in action, we are completely in sync.
I never experience the doubt or jealousy, I simply don't have it in my code, not only for him but for anyone.
If I care for somebody, I will make anything in my power to make that person happy, including finding him a proper partner, who, by the way, doesn't need to be me.
