The white bone of the Argantuans is ash-white and before it is worked upon by a smith, or Blodhur, has the appearance and texture of weathered stone. During the shaping of white bone, the Blodhur, provides a gift of blood to the weapon. This is because the bone continues to live even after the death of the Argantuan who grew it and after it's shaping. The effect is a matte white, marbled with the dark blue Argantuan blood. Every weapon is there fore unique. Over time, the bone dies and the blue marbling begins to crystalize. This only enhances the strength of the weapon.
