Even more important is not to make the shit in the first place so we dont have to recycle meaningless blisterpackages with printed inlay around a cardboard box with a plastic bag to 'protect' a shitty plastic throw away gadget thats worth less then 50 cents.
And once big industry finally stops with producing all that plastic then we still have WAY to much plastic floating around in the oceans and stacked up on landfills.
A good project to look at is http://www.preciousplastic.com if you really find recycling important. These guys are doing some amazing work. Yet, we really need to refuse to buy overpackaged bullshit.
and if there really is no other option, then unpack while still in the store and leave the plastic for them to put in the trash. Once they get annoyed for having to take out all that trash, then they may eventually decide to take another approach
