so essential. during workshops, i preferred hearing about the stuff that wasn't working in my writing so i could improve it all.
had a couple people in my classes who took every criticism personally, which i never understood because the people giving the criticism were genuinely trying to help rather than be derogatory toward the writer. some people just aren't cut out for it.
