The will to listen will help you to achieve intelligence

When you think of a seller, you probably think of someone who explains things to you and talks a lot.

This is the polar opposite of a successful seller; the sale is made with the ears, not the mouth. How can I be a trusted counsel, a friend who understands you if I don't know what's upsetting you, what difficulty you're having, what you want, what your wishes and objectives are, what's keeping you from accomplishing something, and so on? We gather knowledge, absorb information, and have a much better chance of being creative and effective when we keep quiet than when we talk.

The goal is to master the art of listening to the proper information and selecting the appropriate sources from which to obtain it. I can't learn anything smart that will help me reach my goals if I sit with folks who don't have great counsel or stories to share but instead chat about meaningless life subjects.

A good listener seeks out exceptional sources of information and expertise, is committed to growth, and quickly puts what they've learned into practise, because we can only achieve outcomes via practise and attempts. The actual strength of leadership is to choose the proper moment to say something, and what we say should be forceful, clear, clean, and understood.

When you're sitting with someone and talking, pay attention to what they're saying and try to understand why they're talking. We just need to empathise with the other side. Listen to the other person without thinking about what you're going to say, don't interrupt him while he's speaking, and be a true master of communication.

It is not easy to change; the most difficult part is to recognise our faults, accept them, and let go of our ego; only then can we develop new norms and habits for a successful existence
