Chapter three
‘The floating gift’
As the ones once following the leader Waltif all now in horrifying truth of denial, continue to wait until the loudness of words died down. Many hoping not only what the curse in which Sara Keeth bestow upon them but many were in hopes in which the leader Waltif would see the reason of his killing demands an not onto those who remained loyal.
What is it that many will tell the king and what reasons did Waltif have as to killing his own men in order to protect the king as well as Silister but yet he himself came into contact as the others in reason of death.
“Men, I want to express my orders of demand!”
Waltif said as he heavily breathed and shook off the smog of smoke now engulfing the entire cottage in which Sara Keeths body lay.
“Continue to do not as I persuade and direct but as the King would want! For we are fighting against a force that could have ended us all, but we in the mist of losing some of our own, we have saved many with the death of Sara Keeth!
Remember this as we proceed to the village we call home but now we can sleep at night knowing our family and loved ones about are safe! Take heed in my words, for if I were not here to protect you, you would not have heard the warnings I proclaim. An nor would you hear the voices of the ones we all love!”
Some were in a numb haze while Waltif spilled out a lengthy speech, some were determined to live by their own surrender to loyalty.
One had a very different outlook on the way this was all unfolding. Hudder, was in tune with the way Waltif was instilling his authority, along with being loyal and a close friend. Hudder begin to unwind the bond of friendship he had with Waltif and started to feel a sense of entrapment. For Hudder was loyal to the king by family heirloom and not by choice. However Hudder was good at playing the game of, 'fake it until you make it.'
Hudder never once thought about anything outside his world of loved ones...now he had a different path to where murder took on the role of second in command. Hudder knew that in the chain of command under King Lunner, once Waltif was dead, he would come into play the role of the King's right hand. Until this happens in all aspects, he was nothing but a left hand forgotten about until needed. This was Hudders one chance, waiting over 15 years for the next man in charge to the beautiful village. An evil side follows Hudder, just as it did with Sara Keeth. Hudder however, needed to display his loyalty for he wanted what Sara possessed… and now on the way back to the Kings village, Waltif once again held the power of which Sara created.
Hudder was not going to allow Waltif to continue into his wanted world of power until he showed the same at Waltif.
With yet a swift moment of though, Hudder then holds sternly his reigns and once to a stop comes to Waltif an hurriedly jumps off his horse without a thought and yells in demanding anger at Waltif…
"Take out thee gift in which you hold for the King! Show us the way home, be our leader but do not be a man who.."
Hudder was stopped in his words as while in direct focus on Waltif, a glow of the most beautiful light he has ever seen was illuminating from within Waltifs saddle.
"What in bloody hell is this you hold?!" Exclaimed Hudder to Waltif
Waltif then looks down in confusion an sees a light glowing from his saddle bag, and then out of the saddle came a smoke like creature that put all those in follow at a sudden stop of awe.
In complete terror, all who saw held their breath in complex unity.
Moments pass, as no one understood what was presenting before them
Then with a cool fresh breeze of cold air whipping through the path in where they travel home, came a voice near the saddle of Waltif now glowing...
"Do you stand there in fright but yet do not know who I am?" Said the foggy smoke like spirit that came about.
Then another mysterious figure started to appear then said...
