The adventures of Adeoye:

Being the only son and baby of the house,Adeoye born to the family of Mr and Mrs ola (ola which is a yoruba name, means wealth) was not born with a silver spoon like you imagined but was born into poverty.

His dad was a plam wine tapper who struggled everyday to make sure the family of five had something on the table to eat by the end of each day (Adeoye has two elder sisters) and his mom was an hardworking woman who sold vegetables at the local market just to make ends meet.

Adeoye, (will call him oye for short) learnt how to struggle for himself at a very tender age,he used the rule "eat or be eaten" to push through the obstacles he meet as a young child. One of such many incidents was when he broke off the teeth of his most feared bully Aluko.

Aluko was a notorious bully in the village who also attends the same school with Oye.He was fond of collecting "offerings" as he called it from his mates and younger ones in the form of their lunch and money.Once he bullied Oye into snatching his lunch from him and even made him watch as he eat the tasty meal bit by bit with a mischievous smile on his face as if to say "come and beat me if you can."

The next day,he was back again this time threatening to break Oyes legs if he did'nt submit his offering to the high table (thats Alukos table in their classroom). With point blank eyes Oye refused to obey, this made Aluko become so angry he charged on Oye with the sole intention of carring out his threat of breaking Oyes legs,Oye who was light on his feet easily stepped aside just as Aluko was about to make contact unable to gain balance anymore, Aluko with a very loud thud that shook the class hit the floor and out flew two of his teeths onto the floor.this cause a loud roar of laughter among the pupils and they immediately nicknamed him Baba arugbo(meaning Old man).Henceforth Aluko became a very gentle boy indeed and did his best to stay out of Oyes way. They became best friends as you will see later in the story.

Chapter Two: The headmasters secret.

It was around seven o'clock in the evening and Aluko was going home after a hetic day at school for there was labour that day (Aluko usally stays late to steal some fruits at the teachers quaters which he shared with Oye the next day in class, Alukos respect grew for Oye after the teeth incident and they became friends) when he noticed some strange noise coming out of the Headmasters office...
