In the days when magic was thought to be a good thing, the princess of Xhosa kingdom wanted to ensure that everyone within the kingdom enjoyed the symphony of songs, but there was no way to do so as the ballroom could only contain just a few distinguished guests. She knew music was the food of the soul and it had the capacity to raise the mood of all who are lonely and depressed. So she began to seek the instrument that could create melodies that could be heard in all the realms of the kingdom at the same time.
Many magic practicing musicians tried to win the attention of the princess but because they had wrong motives, they were exposed and thus rejected. But a girl named Sophie who knew how to play the flute found her way to the palace to show the princess her skill. When she played her flute the melodies reverberated across the palace in such goodness that the king was forced to dance. With the power of magic, these melodies were transmitted throughout the kingdom to the ecstasy of all. The balance of magic was preserved as long as the flute was played.
