In all of the books, you discover a story. In this book, you can not even decipher it. I’m talking about “Codex Seraphinianus” by Luigi Serafini. You simply can not comprehend his illustrations, or even the language.
Everything seems unreal, bizzare and...strange.
It represents different features and scenarios of this world. For example, it starts with these fruits…
And continues to show other creatures and even describing them.
I bet it says that this fish is handsome. Just look at this hairstyle!
Personally, I enjoyed this little trick. Do you think that these are just evil eyes, looking at you?
Wrong! They are also fishes, just swimming in the water.
Still, you can recognise the species. You can tell, that this is a fish, or this is an animal, or even a man.
But some drawings are neither of them. It is only for you to decide, what is this, really.
You are welcomed to the surrealistic world, which does not follow any ordinary rules.
Everything, even the rainbow, can do whatever it wants.
Although, you should be careful, because this gigantic pen can kill you anytime.I also think this picture represents writer’s block really well. Ouch.
Their sense of fashion is also spot on. If only we could wear something like that.
And the houses! Imagine sitting here, relaxing with your family, while having dinner.
They also know how to have fun. Here, they are partying like there is no tomorrow.
Even if you are not a fan of such surrealistic pictures, you can truly say, that author put a lot of work into this and his fantasy and drawing skills are just groundbreaking.
It was an unique experience, because I don’t remember reading anything similar before. It shows what human mind and imagination is capable of, breaking all of the borders.
After seeing the images above, my impression is that some could have been "imprints" on what could have been inspired by hallucinogenics, in altered states of consciousness.
Haha, sure, it may seem like that.
I didn't found out much about author, so I can't say for sure if he tried hallucinogenics himself. I still hope something like this can be achieved without taking any substances.
The human mind can explore multiple levels of consciousness without any external aids - it's just that it needs training, so substances are the "easy way" for the less trained.
It's one of the oddest books historians have ever found. Many things about its language and subjects are still unexplained. Either it came from Atlantis or else the writer/illustrator was a genius.

Oh, wow. That is really fascinating! It would be awesome, if this kind of world DID exist and this book is the only part that remained of it.
By the way, I read many of your posts and I'm really glad that you noticed mine :) I'm naturally blushing, haha.
Woah! This is amazing in it's on right. i wonder when this was done.. very surreal and perhaps diving into his subconsciousness. reminds me of Dali in ways
Yes, surrealism at its finest :)
very very strange but i like
we need the strangest book's recopilation on steemit, nice one @estrofiore 8]

Interesting. I wonder, if Codex Seraphinianus was in any way influenced by that.
Thanks for sharing!
