let me tell you a story... A real life story.

Feel free to gather round.... Who doesn't like a good story πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

5 years ago, an old friend of mine found herself in the best relationship ever, she was in love with the love of her life.

Perfect guy, the type of guy we teenage girls go to bed fantasizing about but we know at the back of our mind and at the end of the day we know we would never get.... Well it's not the end of the road for us yet...

Her family told her not to get married to this man who will be named Perfect for the sake of this story. All efforts to render the marriage void fell to naught and my friend was married.

Friends support each other right? Well I was there for the good times, she got married and pregnant and it went downhill from there only after a year.

It's in all those times that you truly believe the story that hell is but a stone throw from heavens gate..( you never heard that tale? I grew up to believe hell was a stone throw from heaven... I still believe it. Ssshhh, don't tell anyone)

Perfect became a beast. My friend suffered abuse and pain on a daily basis, she was so brainwashed to believe she had no other life outside of her marriage, so she stayed in pain for a year and more..
She felt her life was over when perfect kicked her out of his house and wished her death, not even the innocence of his little boy could change his heart.

Don't feel bad.

That was when her life began, she picked up the pieces of her life.

For she picked herself up, turned her pain and scars into beauty by opening up to the world about it.

She is currently the best relationship adviser in my country (nigeria) today. Happily married and now a mother of two.

All her pain and nightmare was just a warm-up to a better life and more.

Now this happens to us in our everyday life in different ways, it could be loosing a love one, natural disaster struck or anything, pain comes in different forms, all that matters is how you get through it.
It hurts now, but in a year it will be a warmup

Thank you for reading to the end
