Firstly, What is Priority? Priority is the act of treating things that are of utmost importance than others. In a very simple language, it is the act of placing important needs at the top and the ones that are not so important below. Not that they are not important but you do not need to carry it out with immediate effect.
Are you setting your priorities straight?
A lot of people prioritize wrongly, putting their want before their need instead of their need before their want. That is why people complain of things not working out because without lack of right priority, one is planning to fail. You must create your scale of preference and set your goals in order. This applies to all spheres of life be it in your work, education, business, office, family and so on.
How do you prioritize properly? Below are few points.
- Write out your goals- There are short term goals and long term goals. Short term goals are what you need to carry out almost immediately and long-term goals take more period of time to be achieved. Be it short term or long term, write it out and adequately work towards it and execute it. Make sure you write it down because anything you write down is easier to achieve than putting it in your mind.
- Rank the important ones- Make sure it is scaled perfectly. Put the ones you want to achieve fast at the top and the ones you want to achieve later below. It makes it easier and flexible unlike when it is not ranked.
- Do one thing at a time- Try not to carry out too much task at a go, take one at a time, and make sure it is completed before moving to the other one.
In Conclusion
Prioritizing makes you stay organized and focused and with hard work, success is around the corner. In this new month, you can start a new chapter.
