DO NOT FEAR THOSE IN AUTHORITY SINCE ITS THEIR DUTY TO PROTECT YOU.
silence of witnesses is as a result of fear of persecution from the authorities. However little to their notice, fearing to express their views and opinions worsens the situation.
ALWAYS FIGHT FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S RIGHTS THOUGH IT DOES NOT CONCERN YOU.
Activism is supposed to be done as a charity without personal benefit. Being silent is not only a crime when it comes to atrocities happening in society but also affects our personal lives alongside those of our family members.
ENDEAVOR TO PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF THE MINORITIES IN SOCIETY
Most often than not, people witness atrocities but choose to have a deaf ear and also shut their mouths by excluding themselves from heated debates which are necessary to create awareness to the public. As Andre Lorde who was a civil rights activist in the 1980’s said “your silence will not protect you.” Learn to be the voice not the echo.
Steemit is a good platform to discuss and share opinions. However, people use it to send ridiculous posts as if the world is at peace. Despite all the happening atrocities happening in the world few people have come up to fight for the voiceless majority.

As Martin Luther King said, “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
IN CONCLUSION
I call upon all people in society including religious leaders, politicians, kings, parents, professionals to unite and protect the rights of the voice less.
