Happy Birthday To Me!

This day, could've been special. After all, it is my birthday. My birthday doesn't mean much though. One year older and 365 days until my next birthday.

Many people have asked me what I want...

And truth to be told, I don't wish for certain gifts or presents. I haven't done that for years. - I'm old enough to buy my own things, so even though I appreciate presents, I never wish for specific things for my birthday. I don't write letters to Santa Claus either.

These last couple of months have been slightly different compared to previous years...
I still haven't told people any specific things I'd want for my birthday, but I have told them that I wish two things will happen this year.

First of all...

I wish my application I've sent will be approved.
I have decided to go back to School once again... And I've decided to work with mental illness. You can read more about it here: Yes I Can! - What's Next? - A Short Recap/"Thank you" & Motivational Story. and here: I've sent my application! - My Mission Is To Self-Heal, Improve Myself And To Help Citizens To Heal, Love And Live Their Lives To The Fullest.

I want to help others so they can live their lives to the fullest, without regrets. I want to work with people who suffers from mental illness. Not only to heal others but also to heal myself, as I've suffered from panic attacks, anxiety and depression for several years. - I feel like this is my true calling. I really wish my application will be approved and that I can start to study.

I believe in self-improvement and I see this education like a huge help to improve myself but also a superb way to help others who suffers. - That's why I want this so much.

Secondly...

I want to become an even more established Steemian. - Crazy, right?

Let me be brutally honest here. Let me explain why I want to become an established Steemian. This might sound crazy, weird and ridiculous to some...

But this is nothing but the truth...

I Believe In Steemit.

I believe in Steemit as a social media platform. I believe we're involved in something really, really big and ground-breaking. - I also believe Steemit will grow tremendously and I do believe that no matter if Steemit dies or not, eventually, it will definitely be the stepping stone for other social media platforms to come. - Where users will be rewarded for their contributions.

That's also why I'm honored and thankful for the opportunity I have been given. - To be part of something ground-breaking like this is truly a fantastic feeling.

I Believe I Can Give More.

Even though I have been a member on Steemit for 16 months, I have more to give. I have more to share and I have tons of upcoming contributions. I have these things in me, and I just need to figure out the best way to let them all out.

I want to grow #teamsweden for instance. I want to build a huge Swedish community on Steemit and I know it's possible with time and effort. I also want to teach, motivate and educate others around me. I want to help our fellow minnows on their journey for success.

Self-improvement!

There's no question about it. I have become a better writer due to all the articles and posts I write on Steemit. I have been sharing things in English for several years. I have written Ebooks, Guides and Internet Marketing reports in English but I have never been so dedicated as I am on Steemit. - I spend tons of time on Steemit each day, even though I should probably do other things instead.... :D

What I mentioned above is just a bonus. - The really cool thing is that I have become a better person too. - I have read so many fantastic articles by other authors so I have felt despair, I have been happy, sad and I've even read some stories so heartbreaking so I've been literally crying like a little kid. - But there's more to it than that...

I have also been able to share personal stories due to all the encouragement and inspiration I've got from others. I was afraid of sharing personal things at first. Because I don't want to be the person who people looks down on. I don't want to stand out from the crowd due to the things I suffer from, or due to personal experiences. - That's why I was afraid of sharing personal stories.. But with time, I learned that it's okay to feel low at times. It's okay to be different. - And people appreciated the things I had to say, and not the other way around!

I have shared different tings from my personal life. I have shared things about my fathers death. I have shared a couple of things about my panic attacks, anxiety and depression. I've shared things about my sleep deprivation and so on... - And not even once have I felt like an idiot due to some stupid comments from other Steemians. Not even once!

And to go from being afraid of sharing these personal things... To share them on the blockchain.. - That's self-improvement to me. - That is why I claim myself to have become a better person.

An Extra Income.

  • Yes, I said it.

All of us know it but very few of us are talking about it. - When people are talking about the rewards, they're usually doing it because they aren't satisfied with how the distribution works. They don't feel appreciated because they compare their own articles with other Steemians. They get $0,50 for their articles they've spent 3 hours on and other Steemians makes $500 for an article they've written in minutes. - Yeah, that's how it goes... And you know it.

However, even though I've personally felt despair and that I've been rewarded unfairly too at times... I have always been happy for the rewards I've got. No matter the amount.

To be rewarded for my contributions is amazing. - Each cent I make on Steemit is more than I've ever earned from any other social media platform out there, so I am truly thankful.

I Can Teach Others About Mental Illness!

If I am lucky enough to get in. If I get my application approved, I will start to study... And that means I'll get knowledge. We already know that there's tons of different, unique people on Steemit. Some of us are struggling in life. Some of us comes from poverty and others from different places. Some people suffer from mental illness.

With the knowledge I gain and with the use of my own personal experiences, I'll be able to teach others around me. I will be able to educate others. - And ultimately, I might be able to help those who're struggling with mental illness.

These are the things I wish for..

  • This is what I'll be working towards during this year...

And this is why this year will be the best year in a long time.

Happy birthday! You wanting to help people with mental illness is a very selfless thing to want, bravo! I share in your dreams as far as Steemit are concerned, I want to engage more as well. I have really come out of my shell (or from under a rock) since I have joined this beautiful community. There are still days that I just cannot do it, but, they are becoming less frequent. It has also really sparked my creative side.

May all of your dreams come true!
