CALL ME SACRED , I AM A WOMAN

in #writing7 years ago

CALL ME SACRED, I AM A WOMAN.

Lay me on white sheets,
And bath me with milk.
Wipe me with the water of the Holy Ganges,
And tie me in the
Verses of the Holy book.
Cover me with red
And gold.
Call me sacred.
Call me sacred.

A body,
A desire,
Is hidden under the cloth.
Don't say them aloud,
Woman.
You are sacred
You are sacred.

A soul is shattering,
wailing Inside me
Freedom!
Freedom!
Freedom!
Don't say it aloud woman,
You are sacred.
You are sacred.

Hands under my holy cloth,
Tearing my flesh
And eating me.
Drink the pain,
Don't say it aloud,
Woman.
You are sacred.
You are sacred.

Wash my feet,
Tie threads around me.
Burn my wishes in the
Oil of your lamps.
Hide my modesty
With marigolds.
And Pour shame in my eyes.
Allow them woman.
You are sacred
You are sacred.

A woman is
A treasure.
A woman is
A garden.
Preserve your pearls
And your nectar
Woman.
A woman is shy,
A woman is sacrifice,
Lower your eyes and
Learn your lesson woman.
A woman is soft
A woman is weak
Know your place
And
Worship the man,
Woman.

And
When
A desire,
A thought,
An indignation,
Sprouts in your soul.
Don't question
The lord.
For the right things
That,
Your body desires,
Your mind speaks
And your soul craves.
It's a sin.
It's a sin.
You're a sin
Woman.

So.
Wipe yourself with water of the Holy Ganges
And cover every desire with marigolds again.
Burn yourself in the oil of their lamps
And pour shame in your eyes again.
Tie black threads to your thoughts
And count your sins
In the verses Of the Holy Book again
Until
You're pure.
Until
You're pure.
And
Until
You learn,
You're only a woman
Only a woman.
And
This.
This is a man's world.
