SOPHIA'S FLUTE

My face was swollen in anger.
Sophia, my younger sister kept crying and all I could remember was how tragedy befell our home after we lost our parents. And how stressed I've been trying to make ends meet.

"Please allow me to sleep!"
"Sister, I need the money badly"

Sophia was never demanding but this one got me so vexed.
I slapped her on the face and off she was.

Since then, She never showed any epitome of anger towards me and I became inquisitive about what she needed that money for.

I met her friend Sandra and asked what she needed the money for.

"During weekends Sophia plays at an eatery where she gets little tokens and last week she lost her flute"

On getting home, I gave her the flute I had purchased.
"Sophia I've never seen you with a flute before?"

As she replied, I saw the strength in her, how industrious she was and I knew her flute was going to take her great places!
