I was at the grocery store the other day and I couldn't help but notice how many people were congregated around the soda aisle. I used to drink a lot of soda, but that's when I was a lot younger. Every now and then I will have something like a Diet Coke… but for the most part I stick to tea, coffee and water.
I guess the reason people drink sodas is the same reason people smoke, and the same reason people drink alcohol. It makes you feel better. You can have a sugar high. Also, it tastes good. But it makes you really fat. Makes you feel really terrible later on down the line.
I guess all the best things make you feel good temporarily and then make you feel bad later. However, you've got to be looking out for you. You've got to be living a life that's healthy so that you can live longer. Of course, maybe you don't enjoy your life. I think that's how people lived in the 40s. They drank and smoke as much as they wanted.I think they all knew that it was bad for you, but they didn't care much because life is short. Enjoy it to the fullest. It's a balance though you know. Don't live it to the fullest if it means you shorten it incredibly. Drinking regular soda is a surefire way to decrease your health significantly.
also great to see many alternatives that are better with zero sugar options like Zevia and others etc
Agreed. There are many more choices than there used to be for people that don't want sugar.
I have worked at your neighborhood Whole "health food" store for the last 20 years.
Even though it may not seem like it.....Soda sales are way down.
It's all about the soda water now.
About time people smartened up. :)
I used to drink a lot of soda water. It's very addictive. However, I never really quenched my thirst the same way water… regular water does.
glad i gave it up years ago used to be a daily drinker
