From 18th century Dragoons soldiers were class of mounted infantry trained and employed to combat with swords and horseback.The name was derived from type of firearm called "dragon".a handgun used by French Army.Dragoons armed with carbines,sabers and pistols.Dragoons were organized not in squadrons but in companies infantry titles was bore by their officers and non commissioned officers.Dragoons has referred to be medium cavalry on early wars of Frederick II the Great of Prussia.In 19th centuries it became part of Light Dragoons with multi-skilled soldiers in Jackal armored vehicles.On 20th centuries the French Army reorganized Dragoons regiments as motorized infantry.
