I Love Controversial Discussions

I like controversy. By controversy, I mean a deep way of searching for truth. The controversy instigates the human being to go deeper into the issues that we humans seek so much to answer. Many people see the controversy as unnecessary, sensationalist or that they refer to discussions that in the end both opposing sides get nowhere and where attacks on the ideas of the "opponent" are the rule of the game.

I don't see things that way anymore. I believe that the controversy is necessary, the discussion of ideas is salutary and it is in these discussions that our critical sense is sharpened. Both sides, which are opposites, can learn from each other and together grow in knowledge. Therefore, I do not see as damaging, for example, the discussion about the "3 taboos" that many prefer not to discuss that are: Football, Politics and Religion.

There are people who avoid dealing with these issues, especially here in Brazil, for fear of aggression, cursing or the generation of conflicts. The problem is not in discussing these taboos, but rather in the people who will be in the discussion.

It is no use discussing something controversial, that requires special attention, a sensitivity as expressing your idea to the other, with the intention of through the argument convince the other if you do not know or recognize the limits of where ends and begins the freedom of other people in agree or not with your arguments.

The last paragraph hit right at home. Also I personally see people substitute football for science, albeit they tend to think that even Logic, Emotion & Moral have nothing to do with one another on an innate level of compare & contrast ("Foyer Model", Per Se!). Never quit your passions!

you are absolutely right. i want to learn from your post which can help me about controversial discussions more and more
