Just finished first chapter of my book. Excited

I just finished the first chapter in my book, and I'm ecstatic.

Hey everyone. I actually wanted to post this here because I've been a lurker for quite a while, reading tips and such, to help me write a novel. I've enjoyed writing for quite a long time, but I hadn't written anything since high school (I finished college last year and am currently working; nothing related to writing though), so it was a bit tough to get going at first. I think I usually wrote on my instincts (back in school) and never really 'organized' my writing. This sub actually helped me organize an actual outline of my story and trace out the main themes and characters in it. So a big thank you to this sub because of that.

It took me about a week to finish the first chapter, and while I think it's not perfect, I think it's definitely going in the right direction. I think I started out working on this book as an exercise and, regardless of the quality of final product, I'm just aiming to finish this. And perhaps get better after that.

First chapter? Now go to the second chapter. I just like reading, which book are you reading currently?

Rise and Kill First by ronen bergman

Awesome book about Israeli intelligence. I could share with you, if you don't mind.

I like the spirit. Writing is quite engaging but with determination. You will definitely go far and wide. I wish you all the best.

Congratulations for finishing the first chapter of you book. Good luck.
