Students cheat on examinations in order to get higher scores. Yet they do not consider that they are not only harming their peers by violat-ing the integrity of examinations, but also jeopa-rdizing the system of testing. Consequently, the system will fail to apprise their true abilities in the future. Companies keep the information of nocuous ingredients in their products from consumers so that their products would sell well. Yet they do not foresee that the damage will be discovered sooner or later. The moment it is discovered, these products will be forsaken by customers and the market forever.
Therefore, being dishonest is to gain one’s profit at the cost of others’ as well as to gain a short-term profit at the cost of the long-term one. On the other hand, being honest is not only morally right, but will also be fruitful in the long run.
