RE: writing to africa/africans

Gone are the days Africans would continue to blame the Europeans for their woes. Although, the disastrous results of the latter imperialism could still be partly felt but not be whole considered as the ultimate causality of African predicament.

Be that as it may, other continents, (especially, the Second/Third worlds) that suffered the same fate as Africa from the vestiges of colonialism have thrown the unsavory taste of dependency theory into the dustbin of history. They are gradually manifesting their destinies by focusing inward and making use of their great potential- say, agriculture, healthcare, tourism, manufacturing and indeed, tech entrepreneurship. The case of India and its subcontinent could justify this. They don't longer do the much of the 'talk'...No!...they've embraced the 'walk'....long ago.

Africa would remain a dumping ground for foreign wastes product- I mean, the consuming syndrome as against her productive output- if it fails to trend with contemporary realities. Producing countries are marketing their 'products' with the help of their 'process' but Africans are busy enjoying the foreign products whilst jettisoning their 'process'---local ingenuity and industrial development.

I still believe in the exponential potential of mother Africa, the custodian of more than a half of world's resources. What is , however, important for Africa is to determine her destiny by her own hands because the superior worlds would never allow her to triumph. Improved Leadership, technological advancement, rejuvenation of indigenous technology, functional usage of research findings, psychological reorientation, conducive business environment, security and so on and so forth would go a long way in making Africa one of the formidable force to reckon with in the global scene. Finally, I believe Africa has what it is...to be great!

Thank you.
.
Good morning Africa!
