Hello my new friend! I loved this post because its fluiy from your perspective. I have some thoughts .
First, its a great list. Honestly, if you want to empower any oppressed group this is exactly where one should start.
Second I havent heard of a non-secular approach to feminism? How is it different? My thoughts on that are as follows:
- Men are afraid of feminism because they are used to enjoying male privilege. It doesn't matter how nice you are about it, lifting women up creates a feeling of "domination" for men that are traditionally masculine or hyper masculine. They are not comfy with womens empowerment because they are not used to thinking that women are oppressed. Its "just the way it is". And most men assume that its that way because nature/god meant it to be that way. It is creating a new challenge for men but one that will benefit society as a whole in the long run. Theres no reason men should be above us except to protect their egos. They have to adjust to no longer hzving their egos protected. Thats whh feminism is a bad word to many. They might point at a handful of women doing this or that, but its things that men do all the time but are never challenged about it. ;) p.s pleeeaaase tag feminism when you write about this stuff!!
Thank you @limabeing for this great contribution. I'm glad you noticed my blog. I've already tagged feminism on my current blog on this, you can check it out on my blog.
