RE: Vocab-ability–36 (circum = around) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

in #writing7 years ago (edited)

Re #4, that should include teachers and everyone else. I've worked in small offices and large corporations. In all cases, I've had superiors and underlings who just can't say "I honestly don't know."

They engage in circumlocution and outright nonsense and bullshit to pretend that they know something they don't. Sometimes, they're worse than kindergarten kids!!

Hahaha I've recently learnt to say "I don't know" or "let me find out". I discovered it is more honourable than blabbing. Thanks for these lessons.

PS: I suggest you add the tag "challenge" or even "contests" to subsequent VOCAB series. I believe it will give more exposure and increase your followers.

Regards

Thanks for the advise re tags. I'll try out each on of those, and hope for an even better participation rate.

Cheers!

Always my pleasure sir.

Uploaded latest post with "challenge" and "contests" tags. Will see if thousands of Steemers come steeming to my Vocab posts.

Hahaha I hope so too. I am glad you considered the advice worthwhile. However, I noticed your tag was "contests" instead of "contest". The (s) could make a difference. You may also consider a slight push to make the hot section, the reason being that there are influx of posts with those tags. Let's get some more visibility. Cheerrrrssss!!!!
