I think it is close to real life situation. There are a lot of things happening in a pageant. For one thing jealousy always find its ways to creep in. Tje crown is too much to bear for one winner only. Everyone seems to think they more deserve to win the crown than the other. It is always a heated debate among the contestants. And it too hard to admit it as well.
