My third novel was finished and published in time for Halloween 2016 and I had a launch at Waterstone's at Sheffield.

She had been accused of trickery on that day and her main accusers were Vladimir and Vitya’s wife, but Darius had also put in a complaint about her underhandedness – in much the same way as a present-day jumped-up pedant might put in a complaint to the manager of the coffee shop that the sandwiches were not quite to standard.

Red was known as Hazel then and was still getting used to the title of Sentinel Exemplar and was concerned that the complaint may be upheld.

She voiced her fears to Anton who spat out his drink in surprised amusement.

“You ripped out the throat of Vitya and you’re worried about Darius’s written complaint? You astound me.” Anton said between the coughing and sputtering from the wine that had gone down the wrong way.

Then he became serious, although he still coughed a few more times to punctuate his explanation: “You should be more worried about his widow and his son. She is vindictive and will bring her step-son up to avenge his father and the boy is an unknown quantity but if he grows up to be half as vicious as his father, then we have an enemy on our hands that we should do well to keep an eye on.”

Chapter 22

Selene was livid and she did something that she had never done in all the time that she had worked for Lord Grey, she went AWOL. Just for a few hours perhaps, but missing and incommunicado, nevertheless.

She travelled in her car for a good long drive back to the middle of nowhere, back to where she had been brought into the world.

The house she had lived in for the first half a dozen years of her life had long since gone, but she knew where it had stood and she made her way along the overgrown and all but eradicated pathway.

When she stood where she thought the front door used to be, she opened up the blanket that she carried and laid it out on the ground.

It was a thick, heavy blanket and it cushioned most of the lumps and bumps and she made herself comfortable on it easily.

Then Selene concentrated in the way that she had been taught by her mother.

She sat with a straight back but she was relaxed. She didn’t worry about the position of her arms or legs; they would adjust themselves naturally as and when necessary – whilst she was elsewhere.

Then Selene travelled in time and she went back, back, back into and beyond the memory span of Humes, further and further back and as she went back, her trance grew deeper and the faster she was able to go backwards until that bright morning when she had taken her first lesson with her mother and she remembered that her elder sisters watched in awe.

They didn’t interrupt and they didn’t clamour for their mother’s attention.

They were used to their mother’s trances; they had watched her as babes and she had always taught them that it was an important time for her and now they knew that it was also an important time for Selene.

Selene was not quite four when her mother had first taken her to the other world.

In the same way that some Humes were psychic or able to see spirits, so too could some Wolves.

Selene’s mother was one that could see such spirits and Selene was proving that she had abilities that would perhaps have the potential to surpass even her mother’s abilities.

The older sisters watched as they always did, they held hands and stared.

Their mother had once asked what they saw when she was in a trance – or dream as she called it – and they told her that she went shivery and misty but they couldn’t describe any clearer.

Selene felt shivery now and she knew that she was going beyond this world and into her mother’s.

Selene saw her mother; she was standing with her back to her, talking with her father. Selene stood perfectly still and quiet but she felt what seemed to be a strong push on her whole body and she was forced forwards into the same space that her mother occupied and she knew everything that her mother knew and it scared her so bad that her legs were like jelly, her bladder almost emptied and her stomach flipped over itself endlessly.

Selene’s terror would have been visible if she had not been a spirit inside her mother’s body but her mother was strong.

Selene remembered how fearless she was and her heart warmed with the pride of being a part of her.

“What is it Dale? Tell me what has happened.”

“No, never you mind, it’s not your concern, I can manage this. It’s not your place to have to deal with this.”

“My place is by your side, husband and never forget it.”

“Your place is here, at home, looking after our three beautiful daughters.”

“There was a time when you would have chosen me to be at your side in any battle. You would have chosen me first above any of your comrades and at the end of the battle; you would not have regretted that choice.”

Seeing the cover of Blood of the Moon, I was very scared to see that I love Selina's story very well, thank you very much.

Thank you. I'm pleased you like my work.

So interesting selena's story make me waiting for more .Nice job i luv you work im not good in english but whit your novels i develop it day by day thanks @michelle.gent :)

Thank you. Keep studying, it's worth it.

Chapter 22 turned out to be quite interesting, without any active actions, but very attractive. We learned interesting details about Selene and her mother. While I'm reading, I'm still immersed in what I've written and enjoy, thank you

Thank you. To see you still enjoying my work is gratifying.

I have to tell you that the more I read your writing, the more I want to get back to learning spiritual practices.

I've never practiced, but I get the gist - be kind, harm none :)

I never engaged in spiritual practices with the purpose of hurting other people because I reckon that it is easier to get away with shooting another person than with even the slightest immersion in that (dark) energy, especially for a person who is not evil by nature (like me). I practice it (or at least try to do it to the extent I am capable of) to gain more confidence and a clearer understanding of what I should do in (and with) my life.

In that case, I think you never stopped learning :)

Yes, I would say that I am learning it not from some books, though I have a couple of such books in my personal library, or mentors (I know a woman who is actively practicing spiritual healing, white magic, I am not really sure which term would be more appropriate) and she wanted to pass some keys to that knowledge to me because she saw I have a third eye that is slightly open (I guess it means that I have a potential of some sort) but, frankly speaking, I am not quite prepared for that mentally. And she wanted to do it for free, so I don't think that it's a scam :-)

We get to learn who Selene's mother was, and maybe her father, and who killed them, my dollar would be on Darius, or one of his minions. If so then Selene is going to become completely Livid, but no matter who, she will be able I think to control herself. Un like how some of Darius's crew have a hard time controlling themselves.

You really do get my work. Thank you.

You can write many wonderful novels. I was very sad to read the story of Selena in chapter 22 of her novel, and I liked it very beautifully.

Waiting for next part.✌Great one @michelle.gent.
