MY NYSC DIARY: I WANNA BE BACK HOOOOOME!

Could never have imagined so many rules all at a time! Anyone probably too lazy to fetch the extremely slow gush of water, after a discouragingly long queue in the evening before the ten thirty light out, has to be up between two and three a.m to fetch; mandatorily in the NYSC face cap, white T-shirt, white shorts, white socks and white canvas. So, between 2 and 3 a.m because the praise worship session commences the day's activities at 4 a.m on the dot. That is immediately followed by the salutes, the recitation of the Nigerian national anthem, the NYSC anthem and the Anambra state anthem.

Subsequently, the commanders give each platoon a brief adress on some rising issues that the platoon needs to get prepared about for the competitive activities. Immediately afterwards, two of the Man' O' War guys take us on the most exhausting exercises I've ever had, coupled with weird songs of unbelievable wordings.

So, a circle is either made with two other people behind each person who originally made the circle, or a typical circle. Despite the weather chilled-like weather, bits of sweat can be seen on some people's forehead and around the armpit area of the white T-shirts.
Every corp member looked a junior secondary school student in Inter-house sports. While the much fatter and more adult looking ones looked like they repeated primary 5 thrice.

At 8 a.m, I gave out my meal ticket in exchange for a seat with which to sit for a six hour lecture. I wrote and listened but got tired. These were taken to wear off boredom!
