We all as humans have the tendency to always want more...
But for anyone who cares to run a forensic on my personal account, please do and make a counter post to negate my personal Steemit reflection in terms of votes and any unjust claim(supposedly) some individuals feels i am making. A personal conviction, and not a matter of whether right or wrong move to use upvote services since i joined the community.
Upvoting Services as a Steem-Rookie
After my first few months of becoming a steemian, i could see a couple of Upvote services around but i was less curious maybe less greedy too to try them out just to have a bumper payouts on my posts when i was yet to understand what steemit actually means. So after some more times, i decided to try it out some couple of times to upvote one of my blogs and three of my friends; i was compelled to try it because their was a lot of fuss about a particular service about 7 months ago(Name Withheld). After my trials, i decided to be contented with whatever i get so i figured it is off less use to me(Maybe some others too).
This services feels like compensating Myself!
What is your objective of wanting more Upvotes/Payout? Are you discouraged by your previous payouts or you just want more and more of it without minding if others gets or not. If this services are used to support some newbies or a very good but unrecognized author, then that is a worthy and justifiable cause.
Using this services are super cool, but I strongly believe in fair play and a normal level playing ground, so i decided not to buy upvotes often and often day-in day-out as a daily blogger to uphold my pedigree. Another reason(a personal conviction) is this; this rewards comes from a pool and i really wish this rewards gets to some more users more than what they get irrespective of their level of interactions, their works/Blogs should vouch for them!
Secondly, i enjoyed writing and expressing myself which i never have phobia for burning out of ideas. I have blogged daily since i came around in March and there were days i don't earn much compared to the efforts i put in, this makes me works harder and to do deeper research for my next blog without certainty that it will be read and upvoted. This had kept me going for so long and using upvote services would make me more lazy as a writer, it would make me a glutton and not worthy of this votes i bought and not earned.
Earning votes and not buying them was the initial design of the platform if am correct, though people worked hard as authors but with less or no compensation hence the need for this services arise. Perseverance is the only way to resist this urge of compensating yourself; the ability to try more and interact better is a key which could make things easier.
Except you are a weekly or Bi-weekly Blockchain Blogger, maybe you are exempted. But for daily Bloggers using this services on every post you publish seems to me like depriving other users of the crumbs of cakes from the Reward pool.
If you are on the verge of giving up and leaving the community, this upvote services are there to keep your dreams and Blockchain Blogging aspirations alive. Here are some of the Legit Upvote services to use to make your steemit stay worth-while.

Thanks for sharing this.
People buy upvote for different reasons
It takes enough of courage to keep on creating a good content without reward and without using bot
Yes, very accurate @maintain4real-eu
I always take whatever i get here and i am always thankful because it is a bonus and it is amazingly changing lives!
This is one of the reasons i don't want to miss any of your post
Many lives have been impacted through you. Keep the fire burning
I've come across some authors that claimed they used bot service to boost important information to trending.
Though am still new in this community but this service help to encourage some steemians that hardly get noticed despite the fact that they right good and original content.
Thanks for the list.
Yes, i mentioned that in the post...and thanks for reading
Nice word said, nice post. But why do people buy Upvotes or uses bots even when they are at the top. That is discouraging to we the new members. Most of us workhard, rack our brains to produce a magnificent piece to be praying for an upvoted while someone with just a picture of his cat would get 100upvotes.
Well, it is the Blockchain where amazing things happens and you get petrified!
Sorry to ask what is this original works all about. What does it do?
Well, it is a BOT users summon to verify the originality of their posts. So it comes and upvotes that blog.
Well done Olaide
Gracias!
You have quite nicely polished writing skills. You are already doing excellent job without buying. it was pleasure reading your blog.
Thanks dear @anayakhan
My pleasure @oluwoleolaide
“Smokers are liable to die young” but there are still cigarettes for sale at every corner for that one day when you want to try it out. Lol.
I’ve also never (to the best of my knowledge) used these services but that’s because I don’t need. Some people need them 😊 Curation isn’t as it was 6 months ago. Steem power isn’t being delegated for free anymore. It’s the world we find ourselves “sadly”
Well said man, personal convictions like i said. But it just creeps me out seeing some people using it day-in, day-out even on just a lifted Image or post...
In my own opinion, the last point is one of my perceived best use case scenario of the upvote services. But since we are decentralized, I think everyone should do whatever "floats their canoe". Interesting take on this often controversial topic. Gracias
Thanks man, controversial thoughts and i was having 2nd to 5th thoughts while typing it in...
It's good to put some thoughts out there.
Great post man very informative and interesting...
Hiii @oluwoleolaide,
You always wrote very well and used your creative skills here in Steemit Very impressive words you shared:
My best wishes always for you, Stay Blessed, "Happy New Year"
nice i like
Frankly speaking, am not a fan of bots or pay for Upvotes, personally 'have never been curious or eager to know how it works, don't really know why, but there is no urge for that...
Our views are mutual on this @olowoleolaide
I have read about some of these upvote services but I have not tried any. I do mention @original works to get attention. I want to really grow as a writer, so buying upvotes won't help me. I believe the best way out is to keep tweaking and trying new things until you figure out what works for you. And the more you persist things will get better.
It sucks when newbies like us see people that have been here for months still using those UPVOTE services when they are already early a lot. I don't get it. I recently learned to work harder and harder to get what I want and not to take shortcuts. So it looks like I will go ahead working it out myself. Thanks for this post
Good one bro. I must confess, I use upvote services.
I started using them lately when I began to post regularly. I discovered that my hardwork in creating great and quality posts are under-rewarded.
I see a couple of people enjoying upvotes and building their steem power.
Although I am not desperate, there is the need to earn something to keep me going.
I hope I won't need to buy votes in 2018. I hope so.
Happy new year!
Great post dear. My thought is that people do this mostly when the Pay-out from their post is hardly encouraging.
There is one called @appreciator too. Although, I have not used these before, but as steemit stands now, thr drive to use them has grown amidst many steemians. Raping reward pool is a story for another day.
Really! You have made some points (valuable), you are really worth to be a mentor
