CHAPTER 2
Indecision Is The Enemy Of Greatness

If you check up the history of people who are unsatisfied in the life they lead, you will find innumerable records of indecisions.

Indecision is the lack of the ability to make decisions without delay.

Listen to what George Canning said, " Indecision and delays are the parents of failure."

Any road to success, starts from the point
of decision.

James E. Faust reflected thus, "Some of our important choices have a time line. If we delay a decision, the opportunity is gone forever..."

Many times you will find people who muse in regret, they will tell you if they knew they would have done this or that.

Whatever decision that will impact your life positively, take it right away. In Acts twenty-four verse twenty-five, Felix missed a great opportunity to know The Lord Jesus because of indecision. Read what Felix said, "Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee." and by and by, this unpresidented opportunity was missed. Are you like this? That even when you are exposed to all the details that will incline you to greatness, you will still remain undecided.

Sometimes people may not take decisions because of their doubt of what the outcome will be, this keeps them from making a choice involving change. Consequently, they miss many opportunities that come their ways.

I love how Theodore Roosevelt puts it, "In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing."

Everything about life is a matter of risk. Deciding is a risk, but deciding not to decide is the greater risk.

Speaking on decision, Simon Sinek a British-American author, motivational speaker and organisational consultant. Who is also an author of four books, including "Start With Why" said, "There is no decision that we can make that doesn't come with some sort of balance or sacrifice."

Deciding to do something more than average will require your effort and sacrifice. This every one striving for greatness in life should bear in mind. If this is not the case, very many people would have been great.

You should decide to ignore the mound hill, and go for the mountain. When you have made this decision, you should not worry how you will climb the mountain. Ralph Waldo Emerson puts it this way, "Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen."

See you at the mountain top.
