Life is much more than fitting into your jeans.

Hi there! Could I paint you a picture of words for a bit? Thank you. ^_^
Have you ever felt (or still feel) a deep hole inside you when you’re all by yourself; when the noisy chit-chat of friends had faded along with their goodbyes as they left that house party you had organized earlier, when the intoxicating effect of the booze you had drunk had left you with two gifts—a hangover, and a slap of reality; when you’d scrolled through the hundreds of contacts on your phone, and at the end, had no one to call?
Do you smile perfunctorily, simply because you didn’t want people to read through your frown and call you a miserable person? Or are you one of those peeps who are smiley-faced celebrities on camera flashes and social media timeline updates, but teary-eyed hermits in reality?
Yes?
Then you’re human and not a zombie: you have blood coursing through your green freaking veins.
I know you really, really, want something more out of life. Like, who the hell doesn’t?
Three days of a myriad of stormy emotions (first of its kind) this week taught me these, and I would love to share:
It’s one thing to live and totally another to exist—both of them are balanced on a thin thread.
Living comes with all its perks and antis: love, hate, happiness, sadness, elation, depression, loneliness, pleasure, pain, fulfillment, frustration, reception, rejection…it goes on and on. They are all children birthed by the same woman.
Now, we all would love to settle for the perks (good) and screen its anti—the bad, out; anything less than that and we feel empty inside.
I’m all for good experiences, but wouldn’t that be fucking boring?
Call me crazy all you want, but just imagine life’s good experiences as food: rice for example. Now, imagine eating only rice as three square meals every day, for one year. Two things could happen: you’d either die of malnourishment, or from loss of appetite.
Without pain, how would you appreciate pleasure? Without the strokes of hate, how would you value the caresses of love?
Here’s the thing:
Living is a conglomeration (big word, eh?) of blues and reds. Experiencing only one of these would simply make you a monochromatic zombie—a merely existing potato of a human being if you like.
What you could do however is, to learn to see the good in bad, to find love in hatred, company in loneliness, pleasure in pain…
Life is a box of chocolates; you never could tell what you’d get.
So, try not to wait for things to come around like a boomerang.
Don’t make que sera sera (what will be, will be) your mantra. Don’t shut out the pain (it’s even impossible to), rather, learn to embrace it. Start feeling comfortable in your own skin.
Throw a “one-person” party for yourself when everyone’s gone and dance to your favorite songs till your feet hurt. Quit that your inebriation (boozing); alcohol couldn’t possibly shut the pain out permanently, trust me. Stop scrolling through that contact list—you could use a little “lone-time” to get your shit together. Smile because you know it’s healthy to do so, and ‘cause you want to. Give social media a rest for a bit—at least, until you stopped seeing it as a temporal forget-the-pain virtual emotional pill.
Get used to the negatives and positives already; you need both poles to freaking light up your living experience, friend.

Life is much more than fitting into those your faded, I-was-once-blue, jeans...denim has got nothing on it. 😂😂😂
