MANILA, Philippines—Philippine authorities said Saturday they had set another world record for the most trees planted in 60 minutes, with 3.2 million seedlings sown as a feature of a national forestation program.
Official affirmation from Guinness World Records will in any case take weeks yet government officers communicated certainty they had broken the old record of 1.9 million trees planted in India on August 15, 2011.
The trees were planted in six unique zones on the southern Philippine island of Mindanao by a multitude of 160,000 individuals including government representatives, understudies and volunteers said the local condition executive Marc Fragada.
