Imam An-Nawawi rahimahullah menyebutkan dalam Syarah Arbain bahwa Imam Syafi'i rahimahullah berkata, "Jika seseorang ingin berbicara maka biarkan dia berpikir dulu, jika dia merasa bahwa pidatonya tidak berbahaya, tolong katakan, jika dia merasa bahwa tanggungannya adalah mudharatnya atau dia ragu , lalu disebut (jangan bicara). "Kita harus hati-hati dalam berbicara. 'Tidak satu kalimat pun diucapkan tetapi ada yang yang di tempat yang hadir.' (Qafah Qaf: 18)
