Ronin (An Original Composition)

Ronin

In the stillness of night,
In the heart of the mountains,
A weary traveler aimlessly wanders
and shrouded by mystery is He.
for know where He is headed we do not
and nothing but his blade and cloak,
without purpose, without pride
only Himself and His burden brought

For this was a man who had lost everything
His family, His village, His Honor
Burnt to ashes, gone forever
As the death bells continue to ring
with the thoughts of no tomorrow
all of these things, they add further weight to His Sorrow

Demons follow Him, men fear Him.
This man had lost everything
and had nothing to fight for.
Deafening is His silence
And His grief, able to pierce the thickest armor.

Nowhere to go, Nowhere to live
He aimlessly walks until the gods take his life
No purpose, only blood, rage and fury
are now what remains of his former life
Slashed and broken are those who stand in His way
know them He does not, nor does He care
for He was alone now and this His weight to bear

Through the night He walks,
With blood in His veins
But without life in His eyes.
He is a man that does not wait for the Sun to rise
but walks with silence in the shadows.

And until He has paid His debt in full
and redeem himself for His crimes
He will continue to aimlessly walk these lands
Knowing that the shed blood of his kin and village
are the results of His lust for carnage
the screams of the dead continue to bring Him terror
for their blood will continue to stain His blade forever._
