Taking a free online course right now from MIT on intro to computer science and programming in Python. Thank you for this story. Very encouraging. I'm in my mid-40s now and I've always wanted to learn to program. Now I'm finally doing it. I'm surprised how much I like doing it. Writing the test scripts and getting debugging then is actually fun. I honestly thought it would be boring because that's what everyone told me about it. Should've done this decades ago.

hi, @randr10, i'm so happy to hear that! i've always encouraged people i believe would be interested to start learning programming, although i understand it might just not be for everyone (as you said, others think it can get pretty boring, heh). 😅 doesn't matter how old we get, it's always never too late to start learning.

i hope you keep enjoying the process! nearly six years since i posted this, and Python has become my go-to language. i work with it every day, and i'm now proud to share that i can finally "speak" it. ❤️
