Hi Steemians,
I am still new and finding my way around. Last night I discovered the chatroom and talked with a few guys who are also based in Sweden. I read a few articles too, there are some great authors here.
Unfortunately I am not one of them. I'll try to push out content, but I don't know what to talk about. If someone actually takes the time to read this, first thank you, and second please leave a comment about my next entry.
Here are some topics and my level of knowledge:
Loyalty Programs - EXPERT/NINJA - I know a lot about airline and hotel loyalty programs. I used to have a job where I traveled a lot, and I've been in an international marriage for 16 years. This led to collecting and using airlines miles and hotel points for fantastic award travel. For the last ten years I've flown over an ocean countless times in business or first class, almost always using airlines miles to pay for the ticket
Expat Living - Advanced - We moved from San Diego to Stockholm a few years ago. It's not an easy adjustment but it is one that feels great. And now, watching America from afar, wow I feel like I've learned so much. I grew up thinking America was the greatest and all the other countries were poor with people dreaming of being Americans. That's not the case. Sweden has a higher standard of living than I grew up with. Sure we pay high taxes, but our taxes cover a lot of stuff that Americans have to pay for, like healthcare, education, childcare, family leave etc. If you consider those costs as a "tax" then taxes are actually much higher in USA.
Languages - Intermediate - it's hard for a 40-something American to learn a new language. My brain doesn't have the capability to think in Swedish yet. So I find myself translating in my head, which pretty much kills my abilities in long complex conversations. I've learned some tips along the way, and I really am getting better.
Europe - Intermediate - I've been able to travel around to a few countries on this continent. It's pretty neat. In a flight just as long as San Diego to Dallas, I can fly Stockholm to Nice, France and experience a completely different culture. I am thrilled about this.
Baseball - Expert - first off , while recognizing that sports truly are the Great Distraction, I can't help it. Baseball is a part of my upbringing and I remain a huge fan of this slow, pastoral game from the 1800s.
And here's a help request, do you know any good tutorials about how to spice up my posts? Like maybe add video and pictures? Please post your link in the comments.
Okay everyone, that's it for now. I'll write some more soon. I just want to end with saying how grateful I am to be part of this community. Peace to all
Hello and welcome to steemit it sounds like you have plenty of experiance to draw on when writing your content. you don't have to specialise in just one area many of the top content creators don't, but carving a niech foryourself can help you get noticed and earn more especially if no-one else is covering it yet.
As for yours posts @merej99 wrote this great article it's about SEO but has some useful tips and a link to a mastering markdown article from git hub that will help you make them look more attractive.
Good luck and happy steeming.
Remember that a picture would help a lot to attract people to your post, there is many guides try searching one and you'll get a few :D.
You have to pay taxes whether you want to or not.
Why pay for something that you don't want to?
Why be allowed to use something that you don't pay for?
