Anyone who truly knows me, also knows I am very easy going... to a point. I always want people to be upfront with me, and not be smiling to my face, and them holding a knife behind their back, waiting for me to turn my back on to them, only to be stabbed!
The truth goes a long way with me, and I often wonder why some have decided to not be the same. Being moral and ethical isn't a hard thing to do, and believe me, it has nothing to do with any religion. I know, because I am an athiest.
I was in a small argument on FaceBook today about this very thing. It seems some hold others accountable, while giving others a free pass. I think we should all be held to the same standards. especially if those given the free pass are in a positon to affect many peoples lives...
I recently wrote a brief post about scams, http://www.thingsthatstripmygears.com/here-a-scam-there-a-scam-everywhere-a-scam/ and today I noticed a post about wanting upvotes and going to a Go-Fund-Me page. This same person had written this same blog post a few weeks back. If anyone was to really read that post, and pay attention to what they were reading, they would have recognized it for the scam it is. There is one full line that will tell you it is a scam, but I am not going to tell anyone what that line is, just know, that I know what it is. I let the person know it was a scam, and was downvoted for it. Which is perfectly fine, because when you call people out, they will either react in a few ways, one, come clean, two, retalliate. Which if it is two, then it only reassures you that you were right.
In this world today, one must try and give hope and support to those who truly need it, not be taken in by those who abuse the system. We all know why it is done, because many have found it easier to abuse, than go ththrough working hard and succeeding.
